Relevance of Gender Mainstreaming to NDP Measures

We worked in association with Hibernian Consulting for the NDP Gender Equality Unit
throughout 2004 to assess the relevance of gender mainstreaming to 81 measures and
sub-measures under the National Development Plan. This involved the preparation of
guidance sheets for the different NDP managers on this topic. The first 59 of these
sheets were launched at an EU Gender Mainstreaming conference in Dublin Castle in
April 2004 as part of the programme for Ireland's EU Presidency.
